Pokémon in your game aren't the only ones to be rescued. By using Friend Rescue, even if you were defeated in a dungeon, you can communicate with other Pokémon Mystery Dungeon players and ask to come for rescue!

GameImage/If you are asking for a Friend Rescue... You were defeated in a dungeon! If you get "Game Over," you will lose all of your money (Poke), and some of your items as well. Let's instead ask your friends to come to a Friend Rescue. image
You can ask to be rescued by Friend Rescue, or you can also go rescue a friend.
If you are going on a Friend Rescue...
GameImage/If you are asking for a Friend Rescue... At the Pelipper Post Office, communicate with a player that wants to be rescued. Receive a SOS Mail and start on a rescue mission! Your mission is complete when you've reached the Rescue Spot where a friend's Pokémon has been defeated. image
After successfully rescuing a friend, you can lend out a Pokémon you've befriended as a "helper Pokémon." Don't worry, the Pokémon you've lent will not disappear from your game!
You can receive rescue points from these jobs too, so rescue more and increase your Rescue rank!

Once the rescue is accomplished, use the communication link once again to receive an A-OK Mail. This way, you won't lose your Money (Poke) or items, and resume from the spot you were defeated at. If your friend sent you a helper Pokémon, the Pokémon can stay with your team until you clear that dungeon.
Rescue mission complete! You can then send a Thank-You Mail or give an item as a present to the friend who helped you.
