Kaname Date and the AI-Ball, Aiba tackle a mysterious case and rescue Iris, an internet idol who has been forced to take part in a dangerous escape game.

Examine crime scenes and listen to testimonies in "Investigation". Enter the dream worlds of suspects and key witnesses in "Somnium". Solve puzzles to break out of locked rooms in the new "Escape" sections.

By moving between these three sections, obtain the necessary clues to solve the case.

One day, after The New Cyclops Serial Killings was resolved,

internet idol Iris Sagan (known as "A-set") is

abducted by a UFO and forced to participate in a

perilous escape game called The Third Eye Game.

Meanwhile, in another part of the city, a mysterious device is discovered.

It resembles a coffin, and attached to it is a note that reads:

"Psync me"

Relying on a tenuous line of communication with the missing Iris,

one man rises once again,

determined to track down the UFO that should not even exist.

Together with his partner, the AI-Ball Aiba, he sets out on a quest.

That man...is Special Agent Kaname Date.

Special Agent at the Advanced Brain Investigation Squad (ABIS).
Date is one of the Psyncers who uses the Psync machine to enter the dreams of others and conduct investigations.
After receiving a call from Iris, he supports her from the outside while tracking her whereabouts.
An eyeball-shaped AI and Date's partner.
Aiba usually resides inside Date's left eye socket as an artificial eye.
She supports investigations with a variety of functions including X-ray, thermography, and information analysis.
She takes a female humanoid form to investigate in Somnium.
A high school student who works as an internet idol under the name A-set. She met Date through an incident in the past.
She is suddenly abducted and wakes up in what appears to be a mysterious spaceship, where she becomes embroiled in a game that holds the fate of humanity at stake.
She was commissioned to provide engineering support for the Psync machine, but recent circumstances led to her becoming the operator.

Search for clues to solving the case in "Investigation", enter the dream worlds of suspects to find the truth in "Somnium", and solve puzzles to break out of locked rooms in "Escape". The story progresses by moving between three parts.

Investigate suspicious locations. Solve puzzles and use items to solve mysteries.

Escape

Control A-set, the internet idol, also known as Iris Sagan, and solve the mysteries scattered throughout the place to escape from the locked room.
Iris is only allowed to contact one outside accomplice. She decides to ask Date for help, whom she met during some incident in the past.

Aiba's various visual enhancement functions can provide information that cannot be obtained by interviews or visual inspections alone.

Investigation

Controle Kaname Date to find Iris's whereabouts.
Search for clues by visiting various locations, interviewing people involved, and making use of the visual enhancement functions installed in Aiba.

Somnium

Use a Psync machine to enter the dream worlds of suspects to discover the hidden truth.
In the dream worlds, Aiba is connected to Date's mind. She appears in the form of a woman and investigates on Date's behalf.
Aiba can stay in the subject's dream for six minutes. She must enter the subconscious and overcome various obstacles to find clues within the time limit.

The Somnium World is constructed based on the subject's personality and memories, and while the laws of the real world do not apply, each Somnium has its own unique rules. A barrier in the subject's mind called a "mental lock" prevents access to their deepest memories. It is necessary to try various actions to break it.
