QUESTION1
(JUNPEI)-
Hint1
Fill in the numbers you know for sure. (For example, the middle of the bottommost row must be 8.) That box contains 1,2,4,7 and 9 and the row contains 3,5 and 6, so the only possible number is 8. Leave the heart of darkness until after you fill in the rest of the grid. -
Hint2
If you find two possible numbers, you must make a decision. This will decide if your answer is SAVE or KILL. Add the sum of the red tiles linked to A. If the sum actually equals A, then the answer is SAVE. KILL uses the same logic. -
Hint3
B=11, C=12, D=13, E=14, F=15, G=16 …
QUESTION2
(AKANE)-
Hint1
Fill in all of Junpei’s tiles first. Notice the five symbols in Junpei’s puzzle? (◆▲★☆↑) Transfer these to the corresponding tiles in Akane’s puzzle. The symbols are in the same position in both puzzles. -
Hint2
Akane and Junpei are viewing the puzzle from different angles. What looks like a 6 to Junpei may not look like a 6 to Akane. -
Hint3
You don’t need to find two solutions to Question 2. The solution to Question 2 changes depending on the result from Question 1. The variable is the number in the tile with the ◆ symbol.
QUESTION3
(ERIC)-
Hint1
You’ll want to kick yourself after you realize how simple the solution is. -
Hint2
The square panels that the masks rest on look familiar. Where have you seen them before? -
Hint3
The solution isn’t on the puzzle page. Examine Eric’s Character File. Do you see his face behind the mask?
QUESTION4
(MIRA)-
Hint1
The solution is the four-letter word that follows the blue D. The booklet shows that a green H follows the blue D. Sounds like a good place to start. -
Hint2
Mira can’t see colors. For example, you write H twice, but is it a red H or green H or something else? In either case, H becomes E. Meaning, there are two Es. -
Hint3
We now see that there are two chains. Connect them to discover the pattern. For example, if you have A>B>C>D>E>F and G>H>I>J>K>L, you know that: A>B>C>D>E>F>G>H>I>J>K>L>(return to)A. What do the letters after the blue D spell out?
QUESTION5
(SIGMA)-
Hint1
You need to pass all three AB nodes to clear the maze. Think about which to pass first. One of them is initially unreachable. -
Hint2
You will pass the Moon AB node second. -
Hint3
When passing the third AB node, your color must be either yellow or green to reach the goal.
QUESTION6
(PHI)-
Hint1
What does it mean to “actually” go to the same time periods as her? Once you figure that out, everything falls into place. She starts in the year ’41. So where is year ’40? -
Hint2
The page numbers represent years and the four wards represent the page corners. Look at the upper-left corner of page 2. This is the Northwest Ward in year ’02. Then travel to the upper left of page 12. Follow her steps! -
Hint3
There is a strange arrow in the lower-right corner of page 40. The AB Game was played in this year. The resulting letter reveals the result of the game. (I.e. the X-pass letter from Question 5.) Which letter to use? Think about how the story plays out. If the girl died, what would the results of the AB game have been?
